            surf?

A.         Mid coast, Middleton, Yorkes.

Q.        Who is the one surfer that you most modelled your surfing off or admire?

A.        Terry Fitzgerald.

Q.        Most memorable surf in your life?

A.        Nusa Dua at 8+feet in ’79 .

Q.        What boards have you ridden or what style of board (twinny/ 4 fin/ thruster)?

A.        I have a four fin 5’10” x 231/2” rounded pin by Parkes, and a 3 fin 5’10” x 221/4”

           rounded pin with flyers by Ric Ford.

Q.        Where do you see kneeboarding going?

A.        Getting more popular again.

Q.        Why did you start kneeboarding?

A.        When I started surfing again I thought a long board would be the way to go, then

            I saw someone riding a kneeboard.  No contest!

Q.        How do you handle the flack from other surfers being a kneelo?

A.        Never had any.

Q.        What injuries have you received?

A.        6 stitches to the back of the head, torn chest muscles, black eyes (board chop to

            the face).

Q.        Have you ever thought you were gunna die?

A.        I thought I was having a heart attack when I tore muscles in my chest (at 21…).

Q.        Has your family or partner been cool with your surfing? Have you separated

            from a partner because of your surfing?

A.        Everyone’s cool.

Q.        Do you have a signature move?

A.        Flipper trip up the beach on water exit.

Q.        What was the first car you ever went surfing in?

A.        Morris 1100.

Q.        If you had a choice would you

            A. Go surfing and knock back a sess with your missus?

            B. Knock back a surf with ya mates and keep ya missus happy?

A.        You know me, always looking for a win/win situation.

Q.        Describe your perfect surf trip

A.        Road trip with mates anywhere.

Q.        What music do you listen to when you want to motivate yourself for a surf?

A.        Anything.

Q.        Is there a certain smell or sound that reminds you of the surf?

A.        Neoprene/wetsuit.  Mmmmm!!!

Q.        Have you ever snaked or dropped in on a stand up and said to yourself “that

            felt good”? and who was it?

A.        What are you suggesting?? That wasn’t me….
